Local Student Robotics Team to Represent MS at World Competition

PEARL, MS - "Wait for It...", a 4-H robotics team from Pearl, MS consisting of six students in 8th through 12th grade, emerged victorious at the Mississippi FIRST® Tech Challenge Championship held in Oxford this weekend. The team secured thier place in the world competition, scheduled to be held in Houston, Texas, after winning the top award at the state championship.
The FIRST® Tech Challenge, a program of FIRST®, provides a platform for students to learn the significance of STEM by designing, building, and programming robots. It also encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and community involvement and engagement. The team from Pearl, MS, epitomizes these values and has demonstrated thier prowess in the field of robotics.
The Mississippi FIRST® Tech Challenge Championship held in Oxford saw participation from top robotics teams from the state. The victory of "Wait for It..." is a testament to thier hard work, dedication, and perseverance. The team will now spend the next month preparing to face the top robotics teams from around the globe at the FIRST® Tech Challenge's World Championship in Houston, Texas.
