Minority and Small Business
The mission of the Minority & Small Business Development Division (MSBDD) is – as the state's advocate for minority-owned, women-owned, and small businesses – to enhance economic development of the State of Mississippi by providing technical and financial assistance to minority, women-owned, and small business enterprises so that they can compete more successfully for federal, state, and local government and commercial contracts.

Technical Assistance
To stimulate entrepreneurship and private-sector job growth among minority and women-owned businesses, the Minority Business Enterprise Division provides business and educational assistance to its clientele through workshops and individual sessions. Such assistance strives to promote growth, increased productivity, expansion, and improvements in daily business management and operations.

- Counseling (free and confidential)
