Jackson Heart Opens Surgical Care Unit in Flowood

Celebrating thier 50th year of serving the public for heart care, a ribbon cutting was held for the new Flowood Jackson Heart Clinic located at the corner of Flowood Drive and 1850 Medical Parkway. The facility includes cardiovascular ambulatory surgery and medical space. Flowood Mayor Gary Rhoads said this facility was a part of the Medical Healthcare Industry Zone Act. This facility was a vision dating back in 2009-2010. Rhoads said the doctors of this clinic saved his life and he was joyed to have them open this facility here in Flowood. Dr. Clay Hayes (center with scissors) cut the ribbon as Mayor Rhoads looked on with other doctors and staff who will work in the facility. The ribbon cutting was held August 8, 2023. "Rankin First is excited to welcome Jackson Heart to Flowood and Rankin County. Having a first-class state of the art facility is just what the Medical Healthcare Industry Zone Act was intended to do, and we have been so blessed to have several wonderful new health care facilities locate in Rankin County in the past few years wtih more to come. None of this would happen without the foresight and diligent efforts of the Rankin County Board of Supervisors and the City of Flowood utilizing the Health Care Industry Zone Act and creating top notch health care for our citizens," said Noel Daniels, President of Rankin First.
